Chimney Sweep Services

Hiring a chimney sweep seems like an easy choice, right?

Not really. Not every chimney sweep is created equally. It’s difficult to know what you’ll get and who to trust. While other companies claim to be local, claim to be certified and hire workers with little or no experience, and are more interested in their margins than quality, you can rest assured that we live right here in Madison and contribute to the community (we support local businesses and sports), we never cut corners and always focus on quality and customer satisfaction, and our employees must have proven experience before we’d ever let them into your home.

When All State Chimney and Restoration comes to clean your chimney, we take it upon ourselves to also inspect your gutters, roofing, the down spouts (if accessible) to make sure you’re aware of any problems before they cause greater issues. We also offer an unprecedented 21-point chimney inspection package that utilizes the latest technology to scan the interior of your chimney for defects and damage. This can literally be a life saver.

**Prices are subject to change upon arrival of service.**
** Please note that if you pay with a credit card you will be charged 3.5% processing fee**

The Chimney & Dryer Vent Cleaning Package includes a full-service cleaning and video inspection of your chimney and dryer vent. This service ensures efficiency and your safety while drying your clothes or enjoying your fireplace. $625 price quote starts for a 1 1/2 story home with an easily accessible chimney and dryer vent.

Our skilled employees are paid well without commissions so you will never experience pushy, unwarranted sales or upselling. We will only give you an honest inspection and any suggested repairs will come with pictures and an estimated cost.

3 Hours : $625

We will perform a precleaning inspection and a complete a 21-point inspection report. A digital copy of the report will be provided to you after the job is completed. We use a camera system to ensure that the chimney is in working order and safe. If we find any issue we will document them and share them with you with approximate costs, via email.

Traditional open-face fireplace: $449

Wood insert or wood stove: $499

Gas fireplace: $449

This annual requirement for gas or wood fireplace appliances ensures they meet insurance safety standards. Cleaning is performed only when necessary, incurring an additional fee. Pricing below is per fireplace.

We don't just clean your vents and say they’re clean, we show you they’re clean! Our professional, friendly dryer vent cleaners have the tools and experience to carefully eliminate all existing build-up while helping you prevent future clogs, and we’ll prove our results with our camera inspection when the job is completed.

We emphasize quality over quantity, which is why we only schedule a few projects per day. And, unlike many other companies, our trained and certified employees are paid well and never by commission, so there will never be undesired and unwarranted pushy sales. We will only give you an honest inspection and any suggested repairs will come with pictures and an estimated cost.

This maintenance task offers fire prevention, improved indoor air quality, and energy savings. It reduces fire risks from lint accumulation and lowers energy costs. Signs for cleaning include longer drying times, hot clothes, burning smell, and excess lint. We recommend annual cleaning, with services including cleaning the lint trap, exhaust tube, and entire duct run.

All our services include the use of a vacuum to prevent particulate dispersal, ensuring a safe and thorough cleaning process. Trust us to keep your dryer efficient and your home protected from dryer-related fire hazards.

1.5 Hours : $225

The National Fire Protection Association suggests yearly chimney inspection prior to using. If you want to make sure your fireplace is safe and ready to enjoy, but don't think a chimney sweep is in order, we can inspect it and let you know if it requires anything.

1.5 Hours : $275

This service includes cleaning the logs, both sides of the glass, dust and debris from under the unit and from accessible vents, the thermocouple, and cleaning and scanning the chimney pipe. We will also adjust gas pressure, if needed, and rearrange glowing embers for the most realistic look.

Madison University : Historical Reconstruction

If you’re looking for a certified Masonry Contractor to manage a really complex job, then this project is a true testament to our abilities to deliver exemplary results.

In 1988 the Alpha Iota lodge on the Madison University campus was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It resides in the Langdon street historic district. This sandstone English Tudor Style building was built by Italian masons between 1911-1913. The sandstone from this building was quarried out of Madison's west side. The mortar was made on site using a lime putty mortar mix.

You can read more about the history of this building at:

Kennedy Manor_optimized.jpg

Kennedy Manor : Parapet Wall

Our long term client of 15+ years had structural issues with a parapet wall in downtown Madison. Over the years the roofing was redone many times but no one thought to look at anything beneath the rubber roofing. The wall began to bow as the mortar in the joints deteriorated and began to fall out, Nothing was holding this wall in place except the exterior repairs on the face of the building. The wall in the center had bowed a total of 7" and needed to be repaired. We knew the owner of the building was interested in something economically, environmentally sustainable, and minimally invasive. We stayed within those boundaries throughout the whole process in order to ensure they were satisfied with the outcome.

Kennedy Manor is located on the isthmus in the Langdon Street historic district near the Mansion Hill historic district. With views of both Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, it was built from Cream city brick and was once the largest apartment building in Madison.
